In one way or another, we all rely on other people’s opinions and experiences to make at least some of our choices and that’s especially true when it comes to choices involving goods and/or services via the Internet. It’s much more important for Adventure Seekers to hear how previous customers felt about their adventure experiences than it is to hear us and our Adventure Company partners tout our own products and services via self promotion. That said, we offer for your consideration, a sampling of recent Adventure Seeker testimonials on their experiences with CalAdventures.
Went on another rafting tour with Tributary last month with my family this time. I have an 11 year old sister and 14 year old brother and a mom that is not super outdoorsy but man, did they love it! The scenery was beautiful, Dave [our guide] was tons of fun, and I just can’t think of anything bad to say about the experience!
We did the Full Day American Fork again with level 2 and 3 rapids. The kids loved it, and after her first splash, my mom was hooked! And she’s already in her 50s! Dave remembered me although I only went once. It was great!! The best part was when my sister got to sit at the front and got thrown off since she’s so light… hahaha hilarious and she had the best time!!

Gary and his crew at MotoVentures always treat us trials riders great. His training area is spectacular, with pretty much any riding condition available there. It’s only a half hour east of Temecula, too. Straight up- If you want to be a better rider of any sort, give MotoVentures a call.

We headed to Dana Point after reading about all the whales offshore right now, feeding on kelp. We were hopeful, of course, but trying to keep expectations down… always a good chance of not seeing the animals. Capt Peter was at the helm, and was that perfect mix of total professional (he’s done it a million times before, obviously) but total excitement as well (every day, every tour is just as exciting as the last). I admire him for that.
We found at least 3 blues and 3 fin whales – maybe more. Hard to tell as they were all sounding then reappearing 5-10 minutes later. Lots of good time with them, though darn they’re hard to really comprehend – you just see a few feet of back, and I can’t imagine how much more is below the surface.
Then a pod of 300-500 dolphins swam right by us and we had to turn and ‘swim’ with them awhile, right? How amazing – the speed, the jumping and joy! Just an amazing experience.
Capt Dave’s crew knows how to find the animals, how to talk knowledgeably about them, and how to balance the passengers’ expectations. Great job, all! (Anne M., August 2012)
Bass fishing with Aaron was one of the best fishing days I have ever had on Big Bear Lake. He has the best equipment and knows all of the hot spots. I caught a large bass my first time out. It was great fishing and I have been fishing on the lake for 10 years. (Don)
I had the best time fishing with Aaron. He has amazing gear and will show the best spot to throw your line to catch a bass. I can’t wait to go fishing with him again and have the best time of my life.
I love going on rides with Jorja. I have been on many rides with her and its always something new and fun. The trails are beautiful. Jorja’s horses are very beautiful and sweet animals that love their jobs. They are a lot of fun to ride. Can’t wait to go out again soon, I’m very much looking forward to it. Thanks for the great time Jorja. (Caitlyn)
I recently went on a beautiful trail ride with Jorja and Kate and two friends. The experience was unforgettable and the sights unbelievable. It had been a long time since I had been up on a horse and I felt comfortable and calm during the entire ride. Jorja is really doing something great for her horses, who are all impeccably cared for and well trained for all levels of riders. The next time I return to Morongo Valley I will be riding with her again and hope to make a donation for her rescue horses as well! (Kate)
Jeff is an incredible kayak instructor. He is outstanding for all levels and all types of kayaking. If you are at all interested in this sport, I highly recommend Jeff. (Larry Bock)
Never in my life have I completed four days (no less consecutively) with the thought that I improved my knowledge and skill level 100% over the prior day. It doesn’t get much better than this!
